Firm Overview
Our practice focuses on all aspects of estate planning, estate
and trust administration, and charitable planning.
In the estate planning realm, we help clients implement estate
planning techniques to minimize estate, gift, and generation-skipping
transfer taxes, and achieve their wealth preservation and transfer
goals. These techniques range from the preparation of "basic" estate
planning documents, such as wills, revocable trusts and health care
documents, to the implementation of more sophisticated strategies
involving grantor retained annuity trusts, qualified personal residence
trusts, the use of "defective" grantor trusts, and planning with
limited liability companies and partnerships. We work with our clients
to develop a plan that is appropriate for their current situation
and their goals.
On the charitable planning side, we help our clients achieve their
philanthropic goals through a broad range of planning techniques.
We assist with the formation and administration of private foundations,
public charities, supporting organizations, and charitable lead
and remainder trusts. We prepare and implement organizational documents,
obtain IRS recognition of tax-exempt status, and provide counsel
on tax compliance and reporting.
We also assist executors and administrators in all aspects of probate
administration of estates, sophisticated post-death tax planning
as well as the preparation of federal and state estate tax returns.
Our clients are a diverse group. We represent clients with a broad
range of personal objectives and financial interests, including
young professionals with straightforward estate planning needs,
individuals with personal situations requiring highly tailored planning
strategies, and public company executives and private business owners
with very sophisticated estate planning needs. We work closely with
our clients to ensure that their personal and financial goals are
reflected in their estate planning documents and that they fully
understand the documents and strategies that they are implementing. |
